In June 8, 2015, the Mapua Institute of Technology's Intramuros and Makati Library began building a collection of political campaign publicity and memorabilia documenting the campaign and leadership of former President Fidel V. Ramos. Mapua has begun to compile a digital catalog and index of the collection. When presented together, these materials provide a unique visual iconography of the leadership of the 12th President of the Philippines, offering an important teaching and research resource for understanding modern campaign strategies and political mobilization, and the representation of Philippine politics through various media markets.

 

The digital collection will be of interest to multiple disciplines including Philippine history, Philippine studies, military studies, media studies, international studies, political science, and government.
