The Mapua Libraries’ Archives and Special Collections became the stewards of selected Lope K. Santos’ personal papers in 2015. The papers document Santos' life and work and provide unique insight into his thinking, writing, and influence over the last fifty two years.

 

The process of transferring Santos’ materials to the Mapua Libraries has begun. A librarian, library assistant, and SOCIP support staff have packed, transferred, and re-housed over 5.75 cubic feet of material (3 linear feet per shelf; dimensions: 18" x 36" x 40").

A project of this size goes beyond what the Libraries’ resources can support. Additional funding from our friends and supporters is needed to process the collection, incorporate the born digital materials, and digitize the hundreds of pieces within the collection to make it accessible to the public.
