LKS has donated hundreds of his notes, drafts, correspondence, and other rare and unpublished materials to Mapua.

Unboxing the Lope K. Santos Archive

A new website offers a glimpse at a lifetime of work, and the chance to support it. Months after the Mapua Libraries’ Institute Archives were chosen as the stewards of Lope K. Santos' personal papers, over a hundred items of the national artist's materials have been transferred, organized, and re-housed in the Archives. A new website, “Unbox the Lope K. Santos Archive,” offers a preview of some of the unique materials found in the collection, as well as a way to support the archival project. Through slideshows on the site you can explore Santos' contributions to Mapua Libraries, the field of linguistics, and his political activism, and dedication to socialism and the Filipino grammar. Read notes Santos' prepared for lectures, go to the front lines of political events he attended, read his personal correspondence with other great thinkers, and learn how his views shaped the Filipino literary discourse.

Additional resource is needed to further expand access to this valuable resource for students, researchers, and those wishing to preserve Santos' remarkable legacy. A gift of any size will contribute to this important work.
